Standing There

A man stands. Alone.
Gazing to the sky for an answer.
As if the clouds would part,
And the rain would bring him resolution.
Seeking closure, outside his heart.
Inside, it beats hard.
And downward, a coin spots his eye.
A flash in a moment of time.
Looking up, the clouds have not parted.
Nor have the skies rained.
But the moment has changed.
And the warmth of the sun
Pulls him in a new direction.
